We start the walking part of our tour early first visiting the colorful local markets where we meet stall holders and talk about their food. We will visit Hanoi’s largest covered market, Dong Xuan. Along the perimeter of the market, dozens of street hawkers sell a staggering variety of produce from live seafood to exotic fruits and spices. Our guide will give you an insight into the intricacies and traditions of Vietnamese food culture including details on ingredients and historical backgrounds of popular northern dishes.
Our walk then continues along both high streets and back streets exploring beaten corners in Hanoi Old Quarter that you never known by walking yourself, enjoying elegance Hanoi through tranquility French quarter with birds singing. Then we will continue our walk to the Historic House on Ma May Street. The house was built at the end of the 19th century and restored in 1999 to preserve the ancient architecture and lifestyle of Hanoians as the way it was. We will have a short walking to visit the oldest bridge of Hanoi “Long Bien bridge” to take photos and see the local life of Hanoi people.
